How cheap can they be?
A hotel room-rate in Las Vegas can range from $20 to $2,000. It's up to you to find the best option. Here are a few hints about finding the lowest room-rates in Las Vegas: search a not-so-famous location, find out about discount periods or, if you really want a famous hotel, browse the web for packages.
Convenient locations
Usually, don't look for cheap on the Strip. Sure, you could stop-in at Sin City Hostel, that is located right in the middle of the Strip action, but if it's a real hotel you want, you should search the Downtown area or off-Strip locations.
Things to take care of
When you consider choosing one of Las Vegas cheap hotels, pay attention to several facts:
- Is it safe? (especially if you bring in your kids);
- Are there any transportation means available? (some hotels offer shuttle services. The hotels located near the Strip are more convenient, as you don't miss the action while saving some money. Also, check monorails or CAT routes);
- Is there a long walking-distance to your favourite Vegas attractions? There are cheap hotels placed within short distances to the Strip or for example Freemont Street Experience, if you consider the downtown area;
- Is it clean? Some Las Vegas cheap hotels may look a little bit shabby, but still, they're clean, decently amenitied places, so it's worth the "sacrifice" to book a room; inside tip: search for recently renovated places;
- Does it have a casino? Let's face it, when we're talking about Las Vegas hotels, whether they're cheap or not, the least they could have is a casino with some slot machines and maybe (just maybe) a poker room. Otherwise, you wouldn't be in "sin city".
