NASCAR Preseason Thunder Las Vegas is complete, and it's no surprise that a Roush Racing driver is setting the pace.

Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Office Depot Ford, was fastest during Wednesday's morning session with a lap of 170.778 miles per hour. That time also was the fastest among the 48 Nextel Cup cars that tested during the three-day test session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

"Testing was great," said Edwards. "We were really fast and I'm pretty pumped to come back here and race. I love this race track and it's a lot of fun. If I don't run into anything and we keep the body in one piece we should be alright."
