The Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has opened a $375 million brand-new tower on December 24 last year. The property was sold out the Christmas weekend and throughout the New Year's Eve Holiday, at an average rate of $599 per night.

The Spa Tower, placed southwest of the resort's conservatory gardens, features 819 guest rooms, 109 suites (spreading the seven floors on the top) and two 4,500 square foot presidential suites that cost $5,000 per night, each.

The Spa Tower is 33 story tall. Apart from rooms and suits it also includes an upscale restaurant, four specialty shops, 70,000 square feet of meeting space, and a complete renovation to the property's spa and salon component - that were extended to 10,000 square feet.

The main tower at Bellagio has also been completely renovated. 'The idea is that all of our hotel rooms, regardless of which tower you might be staying, are newly decorated and have all the amenities one expects from this property', Randy Morton, Belaggio's vice president of hotel operations says. The 120,000 square feet casino area remained the same, the resort's management considering it large enough for the time being.

Usually, you can book a room at Bellagio for about $250 per night, except for the busy weekends when prices go sky-high.

Currently, Bellagio is rated with five diamonds by Mobil and obviously trying to keep up the good service.

On the Bellagio property there are 10,000 people working now, considering the new 1,100 permanent jobs and 300 part time jobs created with the opening of the new Spa Tower.

Bellagio Las Vegas opened back in 1999 and this is the first major renovation since.
